The reactive glaze creates soft tonal movement across each piece, making them a focal point on the table.  The Hanami Stoneware Collection uses a reactive glaze, a traditional mineral-rich technique that blooms during firing and creates soft shifts in tone and texture. This process gives each piece its own distinct variation, so no two are exactly alike. Artistic glazing technique includes intentional crackling / crazing as part of the beauty of the handmade glaze process.
